Image Management in Spaces

Spaces supports the management of images related to floor plans and units within the Atlas system. This documentation provides an overview of how images are handled, including primary and secondary images for both floor plans and units, as well as the process for adding additional images.

Image Import Process

Images can be imported into Atlas in two ways:

1. Via Property Management System (PMS): Images can be automatically imported from an external PMS
2. Manual Addition by Integrations Team: The integrations team can add images manually to Atlas.

From the perspective of Spaces, the source of the images does not impact their usability. Spaces will display one primary image and one secondary image through automation, regardless of where they originated. The primary image is usually a floor plan image, while the secondary image is typically an interior image.

Adding Additional Floor Plan and Unit Images in Spaces

Spaces allows users to override the automated process and add more images in the Content Management System (CMS) if they wish to include additional images of their unit or floor plan.

To add more floor plan images, follow the steps outlined below:

1. Login to your CMS
2. Navigate to Spaces > floor plans
3. Click a floor plan
4. Navigate to 'floor plan gallery'
5. Click 'add to gallery'
6. Drag and drop your desired photos.
7. Click Select
8. Click update
9. Repeat these steps for any additional floor plans you want to update

To add more Unit images, follow the steps outlined below:

1. Login to your CMS
2. Navigate to Spaces > Units
3. Click a unit
4. Navigate to 'Unit Media'
5. Click 'add to gallery'
6. Drag and drop your desired photos.
7. Click Select
8. Click update

Floor plan photos and unit photos you manually import will now display on the front end after the automatically imported primary and secondary photos. Once you upload images to the gallery you can drag and drop to rearrange, however you cannot modify the placement of the primary or secondary images in the Spaces CMS.

Note

To display images in the floor plans gallery consistently, photo sizes are limited to 1920 x 1080 pixels. We also do not recommend uploading images larger than this size in the Unit Media section, as it may negatively affect performance, although larger images will still be accepted.
